Regenerative Organics

The Regenerative Organic Certification (ROC) was created last year in order to establish a comprehensive agricultural standard for soil health, ecological land management practices, pasture-based animal welfare, and farm labor rights.

Behind the new certification is the Regenerative Organic Alliance, a group of non-profits and ecoliterate companies including The Rodale Institute, Compassion in World Farming; Demeter International, and Fair World Project.

While the primary focus of the Regenerative Organic Alliance is to recognize and reward farmers for their water, biodiversity, and soil stewardship efforts, its long-term goal is the birth of a radically new agroecological model that will avoid and prevent ethical, environmentsal and social equity abuses in our global agriculture.
