Regenerative Organics

The Regenerative Organic Certification (ROC) was created last year in order to establish a comprehensive agricultural standard for soil health, ecological land management practices, pasture-based animal welfare, and farm labor rights.

Behind the new certification is the Regenerative Organic Alliance ,a group of non-profits and globally-conscious companies including The Rodale Institute, Compassion in World Farming; Demeter International, and Fair World Project.

While the primary focus of the Alliance is to recognize and reward farmers for regenerative  practices such as water, biodiversity and soil stewardrship, its long-term goal will be the establishment of an entirely new agro-ecological model that can adresss the collective and connected threats of factory farming, climate change, and economic injustice.
