Stockholm is the site of a week-long global water conference held each year in late August or early September known as World Water Week. The event originally began as the Stockholm Water Symposium in 1991 and has been convened annually ever since.
The annual conference is designed to highlight key objectives and solutions to he world’s escalating water crisis.
Events and sessions held throughout the event will address a wide range of the world’s water development and sutainabiulity issues as well as related concerns of international development.
From 4th till 8th November 2019, over 25,000 international water professionals, scientists, and civic leaders will convene for Amsterdam World Water Week to share insights, solutions and innovative approaches to water system management with special attention paid to overarching themes: of a circular water economy and climate change adaptation.
The week offers visitors an inspiring combination of associated programmes and social events, including: the AIWW conference, the Aquatech Trade Exhibition, and excursions through Amsterdam and other cities in the Netherlands.
