Canna Maca Roons

Sometimes referred to as Peruvian Ginseng, Maca belongs to a unique category of plants known as adaptogens, which support the body’s ability to respond to stress. Once prized by Incan warriors as an aid to stamina, the Maca plant thrives 14,000 feet above sea level, high in the most rarefied regions of the Andes.

With its rich, burnt-sugar flavor, Maca powder adds a healthy adaptogenic potency to all sorts of baked goods. The use of chilled coconut oil-based Cannabutter, besides providing the CBD and THC, also offers a surprisingly earthy and balancing flavor-component to this dessert.

In a bowl combine:

  • 2 tbs Cacao powder
  • 1 tbs Maca powder
  • 2-3 tbs sweetened organic condensed milk
  • 2 Tbs coconut-oil based Cannabutter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup almond flour
  • 1/3 cup coconut flour
  • Add 1/3 cup each of crushed walnuts and grated coconut. Combine the mixture well and roll into bite-sized rounds. Dust each round with cacao powder and chill in the refrigerator before serving.
