Mushroom Wine & Beer Fest


Every year in late October mushrooms begin to flourish in fields and forests throughout Mendocino County. During this time savvy foragers can find Chanterelles, Porcinis, Morels, hedgehogs, and even a few marvelously maple-syrupy Candy Caps. To celebrate the season of all things fungal a Mushroom, Wine & Beer Festival is held during the first week in November. Other wild edibles, including huckleberries and seaweed, are also celebrated along with locally-fermented beverages including Kombucha and Cider.
