Jaragua is an inconspicuous little Salvadorian restaurant in East Hollywood that serves superlative Salvadorian fare such as the Pupusas pictured here that are perfect to pair with Platano Frito con crema y frijoles, (fried bananas with beans and sour-cream). When the smiling waitress places that brimming jar of curtido (pickled cabbage) on the table it is time to go to town.

Open until midnight on friday and saturday, nights, local late night crowds at times appear for their bean and cheese pupusas smothered in ranchero sauce, topped with two fried eggs.
