From September 8-14, 2018 in San Francisco, on the traditional lands of the Ohlone people, the It Takes Roots Alliance, representing more than 200 global organizations will convene the Solidarity to Solutions (Sol2Sol) Week to coincide with the Global Climate Action Summit (GCAS).
The week of events kicks off with the Rise for Climate, Jobs and Justice March departing at 10am on September 8th from Embarcadero Plaza in San Francisco. At the march thousands of young activists, climate leaders and Indigenous People from both California and around the globe will take to the streets to demand climate justice and to advocate for clean and renewable strategies that fight climate change.
Following the march will be five days of actions, protests, and tours to highlight individual front line battles for clean energy and climate change. The march is designed to raise awareness about community-based solutions to threats facing our climate and democracy.
