Black Sears Winery farms both organically and biodynamically high atop Napa’s Howell Mountain. Here they are able to produce some of the most concentrated, spicy, and deeply intriguing expressions of mountain-grown Zinfandel in California. Notes of allspice are evident in this broody, well-extracted zinfandel that both suggests and commends a well-seasoned roast.
Black Sears vineyards lie nestled high among wild oak forests at the very top of Howell Mountain. Far above the fog-line, at just over 2400 feet, this is the highest vineyard on the mountain and one of the loftiest localities in all of Napa Valley.
