Prager Winery and Port Works is a small family-run winery that has produced fine late-harvest wines and signature ports such as its Noble Companion, a 10 year old tawny Port, since 1980, when the family founded the winery on a small piece of land in Napa just off Highway 29.
The Prager family source grapes from their own half-acre estate vineyards planted to the traditional Portuguese varietal Touriga as well as from selected vineyards located in Calistoga which are planted to five other Portuguese varietals and Petite Sirah.
Paying a visit to the relaxed tasting room at this family winery is highly recommended. These are easygoing joyful folks who authentically love sharing and educating visitors about both the beautes of the California Wine Country and their fine fortified wines.
