With its rustic, seasonal menu sourced from local organic purveyors, the food at San Francisco’s Nopa never seem overwrought or over-thought, just well-sourced and well-executed.

Savory starters here might include Flatbread Pizzas, or one of a number of   seasonal specials such as tempura-style Fried Anchovies. The excellent Spit-Roasted Chicken can be enjoyed with a simple starter of, say, braised greens with garlic and lemon.

In the pleasant din of the high-ceilinged room, talented mixologists offer up their own take on classic San Francisco cocktails such as Sazeracs or Pisco Sours.
