Jaragua is an inconspicuous little Salvadorian restaurant in East Hollywood. Order the Platano Frito con crema y frijoles, (fried bananas with beans and sour-cream) with a couple of picture-perfect Pupusas. That brimming jar of curtido (pickled cabbage and carrots) that the smiling server simply sets on the table makes all the difference.
Open until midnight on weekend nights, the local late night crowds apparantly flock here after alcoholic binging for the bean and cheese pupusas smothered in ranchero sauce and topped with two fried eggs.
