Spelling Terror

Tragedy was narrowly averted recently when the headquarters of CSIS, a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of global security and prosperity was mistakenly targeted by predator drones.

In what the government is now calling an “acronymic mishap”, an air strike that would likely have obliterated the Center for Strategic and International Studies was mistakenly ordered due to the unfortunate similarity between the organization’s acronym CSIS and that of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria.

“We are committed to running spellcheck from now on,” said the Whitehouse press secretary, so that this kind of targeting error will never be allowed to happen again.
