Berkeley’s Phoenix Pastificio crafts some of the finest handmade fresh-cut pastas on the entire west coast. Everything in the shop: sauces, breads, and other baked goods produced from local, organic ingredients. The cozy little pasta-shop and bakery is housed in its brickbuilding on a quiet block in West Berkeley.




There you’ll find  Rustic Olive Baguettes that are light, soft and chewy, and studded with plump kalamata olives just as sweet and juicy as cherry tomatoes. Seasonal delights here also include a spectacular Stinging Nettle Pasta that is best served simply with a mild sauce based on local goat or sheepsmilk cheese. They also make  marvelous macaroons during the holidays.
