The California Artisan Cheese Festival, is celebrating its 11th year, March 24-26, 2017, in and around the Sheraton Sonoma County in Petaluma. This year’s Festival brings together artisan cheesemakers, educators, authors, chefs, brewers winemakers and guests for three days of cheese tasting, education and celebration. Throughout the weekend, guests will have the opportunity to experience new, limited-production artisan cheeses.In keeping with its dedication to the community, the Artisan Cheese Festival donates 10% of all ticket proceeds to Sonoma Land Trust, Marin Agricultural Land Trust, Petaluma Future Farmers of America, California Artisan Cheese Guild and Redwood Empire Food Bank.
12th annual International Alsace Varietals Festival will be held in Anderson Valley, on February 25 & 26, 2017. The Alsace region is famous for dry style, crisp, and incredibly food friendly white wines. The Alsatian varietals celebrated at the Festival include Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, and Muscat. Beyond the event itself, open houses at area tasting rooms will feature special food offerings and discounts.
The San Francisco Brewers Guild and Northern California’s finest breweries are hard at work planning for a week of craft beer celebrations throughout the Bay Area during SF Beer Week 2017. The SF Beer Week Opening Gala scheduled to kick off the festivities at Pier 48 on February 10, will spotlight flavor-driven brewing innovations glass by glass. A plethora of events around the greater San Francisco Bay Area are scheduled through February 19.
