Cindy’s Backstreet Kitchen should be on your edible short-list when visiting California’s wine country. Located on a quiet backstreet in downtown St. Helena, the restaurant boasts a consistently sumptuous menu of local and seasonal dishes highlighted by some of the region’s best wines.

Oysters here are topped with spinach, asiago cheese, garlic, and cognac and  broiled briefly before arriving at your table still sizzling from the broiler to be paired with crisp cold-clmate Chardonnay or Sauvignon blanc. For dessert you can indulge in a dauntingly decadent Campfire Pie composed of toasted marshmallow-meringue on an oreo-cookie inspired crust.
