Regenerative Organics

The Regenerative Organic Certification (ROC) was created last year in order to establish a comprehensive agricultural standard for soil health, ecological land management practices, pasture-based animal welfare, and farm labor rights.

Behind the new certification is the Regenerative Organic Alliance, a group of non-profits and ecoliterate companies including The Rodale Institute, Compassion in World Farming; Demeter International, and Fair World Project.

While the primary focus of the alliance is to recognize and reward farmers for their water, biodiversity, and soil stewardship efforts, its long-term goal is the birth of a radically new agroecological model that will avoid and prevent ethical, environmentsal and social equity abuses in our global agriculture.
